Hi, i was wondering how come those listed on the http://www.donorweb.org/bloodmobiles mobile donation does not seem to be up to date? E.g. As i passby my school saw they hang banner on their donation drive but seeing this site does not have any information on it?
Another question is if donation (whole blood) after 60days , is it possible to donate again??? Cause i really want to donate at my school again as this is my last sem there is there any way?? Really wanted to do it :(

blood mobile at schools and army camps are not listed on http://www.donorweb.org/bloodmobiles
donation between whole blood needs to be at least 12 weeks. you need to declare in the donation form. long time ago, i manage to donate once at blood mobile drive b4 due date. that was when there was no declaration required on any donation in the past 12 weeks and there was no database checking at blood mobile. now i think they also check the last donation date at blood mobiles.
if you want to donate more often, go for apheresis donation. you can donate every 4 weeks. on and off, you can donate whole blood. interval between whole blood and apheresis donation is 4 weeks.

It takes longer than whole blood and can only be done at the blood bank. check out http://www.hsa.gov.sg/html/consumer/ctm_apheresis_donation.html

i do not know. i guess it is because of security.

you can go back to donate in future as alumni, continuing studies or teacher :D

oic, haiz..... how to contiune study there? it a polytechnic. How sia? there no way of doing? just for this one time only. As i trying to get a new friend to donate and his timing hard to coordinate to go. And also jus this saw their banner yesterday only and the drive is next week. not like their last donation, it up for quiet sometiMes, if only they make known of their donation at least 2mth to 3mth in advance to give regular donor time. the last want i missed it doing in sch due to i short of 10+days only. Haiz... really wanted to do it again there :(
There really no way of giving any exception for once only?

polytechnic also got offer continuing education such as graduate diploma or short courses for working people. however these are usually after the blood donation drive hours.

not long ago, donors with hemglobin 0.5g/dL higher than the usual criteria can donate on 10 weeks interval compared to usual 12 weeks interval. you can call or email the blood bank to ask whether they allow you to donate earlier for this once only.

you not necessarily have to donate that day. you can still accompany your friend to the donation. he/she will feel at ease with your presence.
Cheer up :)
