wisdom tooth extraction and blood donation

My next blood donation is on the 6th June'08. I understand that if I go for wisdom tooth extraction, I'll be deferred from donating blood for the next 3-6months. Thus I would like to donate before I undergo the surgery. But I need to go for the surgery by 14th June'08. Is the time frame too short? Can I extract the tooth so soon after a blood donation?

Do you expect substantial blood loss from wisdom tooth surgery? If yes, better defer your donation or surgery. If not, should be ok to donate.

I think blood loss will be expected since it's a surgery afterall. And I'm expected to keep bleeding on and off throughout the rest of the day. Shall check with my dentist and also BloodBank to find out. Thanks!
