Hi,
I must admit, there was no special reason why I started donating blood. It just seemed a good thing to do at the time. As a matter of fact, I was turned down at my first attempt because I had had my ear pierced about six months beforehand.
Why am I continuing (third time come tomorrow  ) to donate blood?
To put it simply, as I proceed along my professional life and seeing all the things happening around me, I feel increasingly grateful for all that I have been blessed with, and been able to achieve. Consequently, while I am young and able, I feel that I should give something back to society, especially to those who need it the most. Blood donation seems a relatively simple way to do so.
