I am now watching "Shelter from the storm" A programme to raise funds for the victims of hurricane Katrina. :( The celebreties will urging people to give money to help victims in New Orleans. And I was thinking to myself. Do we need a disaster to get in touch with our humanity. Why are we not helping people on a daily basis????? Donating blood is a simple act. It doesn't take much from one. All it takes is determination and commitment. I read of the girl who kept going back to the blood bank to donate blood even though her Hb is low. The guy who posted that account said he wished there were more like him. I am sure there are more like him. I was asked if I will inconvenient myself, one day in 365 days to take time off to donate blood. The answer was of course yes, but I have yet to do so. Why??? Its my commitment. Like many others, I am just too busy and when I have time, I am just too tired or lazy. Am I wanting for a disater to push me off my butt? I hope not. I am going to do it. TOMORROW. :x OOPs blood bank is closed on Monday. I am watching the news now and dengue fever is on the rise. Those of us who can donate blood, please make your way to donate. Dengue patients needs platelet transfusion. I had a friend who was admitted last year and needed platelet transfusion. let's do our part and help fight this moszi attack. We can help make sure those who are down have a chance to fight with our blood donation :o
