A normal platelet count in a healthy person is between 150 x 10^9 and 400 x 10 ^9 per liter of blood. If your platelet count is within the healthy range, then it is ok even though you may not meet blood bank requirement of at least 200 before one can donate platelets.

If your platelet count is below 150, then you should consult a doctor to diagnose whether there are disorders leading to a reduced platelet count:

If your platelet count is above 150 but below 200 and trying to increase it, you can try the EFT described in this thread. Taking a good multivitamin such as "Essentials" from USANA to provide cellular nutrition may help too.
