I have just completed my 62 times of blood donation at HSA last week and went in to the admin office to enquire about the old plaque used to be awarded to champion donor in the past under Singapore Blood Transfusion Services.
I was looking forward to receiving it on my 50th donation some five years back, but it was changed to be a small medal this time round.
I wanted to have the old transparent plaque in the shape of a water droplet.
Anyone can help me to get hold of one or name me the supplier who does that and I will gladly pay for the price of making one for myself.
Thanks

Well done. once every 3 months is as regular as it could be already. i have informed Elaine from red cross but she probably need your full name to check the data base.

can you help us to calculate how do we get 200 donations for whole blood?
The most is 188times from calculation unless last time during the 1940s - 1960s there aren't any 12weeks different.
For calcualtion that I made,
65-18 = most is 47 years of donations.
47 X 4times per year = the most is 188 whole blood donations in a life time ...still short of 12 times
unless we go donate in less than 12 weeks everytime...
or is donating whole blood aboard counted?
or has the autorities increase to 70 years old for frequent donor?
plz guide on this.

Reqular donors can donate up to 70 years old. At 65, the Bloodbank@HSA will provide the donor a health screening and if he is in the pink, you can continue till age 70.
I will feedback your suggestion to Singapore Red Cross to consider the contributions of 'pure' whole blood donors and the number should be lower

Maybe can use the level of committment for the award.
40 years level of committment = Red Cross Humanitarian Award
For whole blood donors, this will be 40 X 4 = 160 times
For aphersis donors, this will be 40 x 10 = 400 times
For discussion please :D

For my opinion, Champion of champions should have a higher status than "Red Cross Humanitarian Award"...and it is the highest status of all.
"Red Cross Humanitarian Award" should award to 150 times and Champion of Champions should award to 160 times.
Just a suggestion!

champion-type donors can reach their 'goal' perhaps only thru apheresis, coz it can be done once every month.
